Touch Screen Kiosk Application

We developed a multi-language touch screen windows application. The application is used on standing touch screen kiosk hardware and will assist drivers with checking in their deliveries and collections upon arrival. The drivers and guards can also print documents and maps directly from the kiosk.

Brief:

This application needs to reduce the time that a driver waits upon arrival. The application needs to improve the quality control process by automatic data cross-check. The kiosk application will communicate with drivers effectively by allowing the drivers to select from 4 different languages  (English, French, Dutch or German).

Copper Consultancy

Copper is a London-based communications company, specialising in all aspects of community relations in connection with major infrastructure projects (e.g new motorways, gas pipelines, overhead power lines, rail connections, etc). They co-ordinate and assist their clients with local consultation exercises, and they provide contact centre facilities to manage feedback from stakeholders during the construction phase of a project.

Brief:

To provide a bespoke application for staff and external consultants to log their time and expenses against projects, and to enable accounts staff to generate sales invoices and profitability analysis.

Result:

ScreenshotStaff across five UK offices are able to update timesheet entries and expense claims.

Head office staff, and management, monitor time and costs by project, against budgets and purchase orders from their clients.

Global Oil Additives Company

Global Oil Additives Company

A leading global developer and manufacturer of oil additives.

Brief:

Spreadsheets were used to store data on the specifications met and approvals gained for a number of their products. There was a need within the business to structure this data and make key parts of it available to those on the ground who were marketing these products. Nscape were charged with formalising a data structure and producing an application with advanced reporting capabilities that made this data accessible to other parts of the business.

Result:

ScreenshotA database with a web of complex relationships was designed and implemented using Microsoft SQL server and a web application was developed leveraging Silverlight and asp.net.

An application was written as a front-end to this database. Tools to allow data to be imported from different external sources as well as a custom report creator was developed to allow different types of users to obtain different views of the data.

Today this application draws together data from a number of different sources including spreadsheets and legacy databases to provide a powerful tool for information sharing across the business.

SBS Insurance

SBS Insurance

Brief:

We were asked to help develop a phone application that provide a faster, more efficient and cost effective claims service to improve insurance policyholder’s claim experience. Nscape were asked to provide an API for phone applications while the app development was undertaken by a third party.

Result:

Smartphone screenshotWorking closely with both SBS and outsourced app developers via web conferencing we created two phone applications, which were extensively tested by Nscape who also provided design input to SBS.

The applications developed allows onsite inspection agents to provide like for like replacement products, validate products via barcode detection and take payments, for policyholders to monitor the status of claims, and policyholders to make excess payments. Information is shared directly with SBS’s systems in real-time minimising delays. Seamlessly room measurements, floor plans and photographs are displayed on claims handler’s screens as they happen in the field.

Multinational Chemical Company

A multinational company and a world leader in the development and supply of Engine Oil Additives to the Petroleum Industry.

Brief:

A legacy application for managing the commercialisation of products was reaching end of life. Nscape were charged with replacing the application and in doing so developed and delivered the current platform.

Result:

ScreenshotInitially, the new application was developed for the EAME region however it is now used globally with over 600 active users.

The application enables the full process needed to take experimental blends through to production on plant. The role-based workflow manages BOM commercialisation, Processes and approvals.

A SharePoint Library interacts seamlessly with the application as a repository for associated documentation and a range of calculative tools enhance the value of the tool for the chemists and process engineers involved in blend commercialisation.
